H2 PDM ( Passenger Door Module)
It's the passenger door window switch clsimmon.... that also controls the keyless entry stuff. The DDM is the drivers door one and it also controls other things. Yeah - they are spendy. No idea on anyplace that repairs them but I'm sure there is someplace out there that can.
If it's the passenger window switch then it's GM 19115820. You can find them on eBay for $99. I had no idea they also controlled the keyless entry functions. You learn something new every day, I guess.
Just be aware - on the H2 the DDM (drivers door window switch) is NOT the same as the ones from the GM trucks and SUV's. Those will work but if you have a later model H2 with the "global windows" buttons than those will likely stop working. I think on those, the only other one that is compatible is from certain SUV's that have power adjustable pedals.
I just got a PDM from a wrecking yard for $20, I got one from a 2006 Yukon Denali because I’m in the process of trying to add TPMS to mine. If you get the pdm that has the “w/ TPM” it includes the tpms radio. The regular one just has the keyless entry. I guess the moral of the story is that a GM full size truck or SUV switch will work. My old one PDM still works if you need it.
Yeah that seems to be the only way to add a feature you do not have. That is why I know that about the DDM. 05-07 H2's have the "global windows" feature. I picked up the heated seats button module that has the global windows buttons and stuck that in mine and the global windows would not work. That button module on the door plugs into the DDM. I connected a Tech 2 and it would actually register the global windows buttons being pressed but nothing was happening. Tried forcing it to update the DDM with updated software from a 2005 by using a 2005 VIN# in the TIS2000 system and it refused saying the module was not compatible. Turns out certain features either require some additional hardware or software inside the module that you cannot simply update. My only choice was to get a DDM for a 2005-2007 model. As soon as I did that the global windows buttons started working immediately. So like you, I have a spare module too, mine a DDM for a 03-04 (or any later model gm truck or suv as well that does not have power adjustable pedals or global windows options).
Haha, it can get pretty crazy. I went and got the PDM, the pressure sensors, and the BCM was replaced a few years ago. I need to find a tech 2 to see if I can get it to work. If the tech 2 doesn’t work I’m hoping that changing the cluster will get it going.
Hard telling. Would need to dig in the eSI system to see exactly what the TPM system is communicating with and how it is configured. GM made it so that on some things you can simply hook the Tech 2 up to a computer with the TIS2000 software, select the module, and check to add a feature (you can do that to add factory fog lights on the GM trucks for example) while on other things the only way is to replace the module itself with one from another vehicle that has the feature or get a custom calibration ID from GM that will allow the software to update and add a feature. I have no idea if the TPM feature programming is all within the PDM or there plus the BCM and/or the cluster.
