Default H2 Lower Front & Rear bumper paint

Hi all! My front and rear bumpers on my 04' H2 are really starting to fade, rust, and look all around awful due to the beatings I've given to the both of them over the years. I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience sanding them down and repainting them? I've found several threads on the newer 08+ silver bumper paint, but none regarding the older black bumper paint. Is it just a standard gloss black? Is there any specific paint I should go for when doing this? Should I sand my bumpers all the way down or just remove the rust and scuff the rest?

I'm looking to paint it the glossy black again like this (sorry for the bad pic)

Any opinions would be really helpful! Thanks again!

What do you use your H2 for i.e. more street or off road? I painted my skid plate with bed liner paint and love it. I am seriously considering having mine Line X'd premium. I had my front grill done and it looks awesome!

I looked at having it line-x'd but being in college, im stone cold broke, so thats totally out. I just wanted to give it that nice OEM finish for now, and down the road Line-xing it.

Duplicolor wheel paint with a clear coat would look great.

drop them off to have them powdercoated. Most PC'ers also have a textured black that will match our factory black plastic. Powdercoating is pretty cheap. You could do one bumper at a time.
