H2 DRL REplacement bulbs?
that is too true, I am looking for Canadian dealers, maybe that is a new business that should be opened here in Canada, a HUMMER parts and custom shop, servicing CANADA! Not sure, probably too expensive too!!!!!
I put those same PIAA 3157 bulbs in the DRL sockets of my one 08 H2. After 2 weeks of them being in there and an average of 4 hours a day driving the DRL sockets turned from cream color to a burned brownish black from the increased heat. Never again.
I went and bought a set of these :
39 Led 3156 Style bulbs

Also why the 3156 bulb? not a 3157 bulb?
I can take a few photos as soon as I get a chance. The 3157 is a dual filament. The 3156 is a single. With the 3157 bulbs from that ebay seller only 2/3 or the leds light up. With the 3156 all of them light up. The DRL socket is a single circuit. Not a dual circuit. So using the 3156 works like a charm.

Let me know how those work out. I may switch to those, but in amber. I still ike the idea of an amber lens instead of the clear lens on the drl housing, just not sure how to pull that off. Hummbobs idea of the film is ok, but just doesn't sound like a good long term solution.
There is just something with the DRL sockets of all GM vehicles from 2004 and up. The 4114LL bulb produces a lot of heat and it is on a lot. Heck my 08 H2 has 780 hrs on the engine and 28500 miles (do the math and find my average MPH). Onstar says I drive 160 miles a day average. So that is a lot of on time for those bulbs. Actually I had the PIAA 3157 in there from day two come to think of it before I put in the LED units. I replaced the DRL sockets with new ones and they still havent turned color yet. They stay cool.
