i was thinking of "stripping" off the chrome... what would be the best/quickest and cheapest method...

i am trying to see how much would chemical stripping cost for the 4 rims...

 

Chemical stripping is pretty cheap. I had 5 U-steps done before having the PC'ed black again and it was only $60.

You could always just sand and paint. Mine weren't peeling but that's what I did.

 

guess i will use elbow grease and my trusty drill with brass wired wheel

 

I didn't strip mine just scuffed them up a bit. Enough so they paint would have something to hold onto.
