My 05 h2 always reads 11.7, ive never seen the reading fluctuate like my navigator did... Maybe its permanently set on 11.7 I've never seen it go higher or lower..strange

 

I'm startin to get a little jealous here. My 03 with 140k hasn't shown over 8.9 since I got it in November!! Last tank was 7.7 but, I believe that has somethin to do with the flowmaster cat back I just put on sounding so good to my right foot...

 

If you never reset the avg mpg it will get stuck in one number unless a big change in driving mode is made .
I do reset mine every 2-3 tank fill . Also if Im going in long Highway trip

Doing 12.5 @ 65% Highway.

 

That's a good point I hadn't considered. Mine does vary pretty regularly but, I'll give that a try!

 

I have a 06 with 195k long tube headers custom made stainless exhaust with x- pipe,air raid filter. moble 1 oil, I get 15.5 avg city driving all day long.

 

How do you reset it? Mine constantly shows 11.7.

Press and hold the button on the wheel with the arrow for a few sec while the AVG MPG is showed on the display .. That will do it
