I've had my H2 for 1-1/2 yrs. Around Vegas I get 12.2. On the highway I get 15 all the time. But a strong headwind will quickly change my mileage to below 10 mpg. Then again, a strong tailwind will bump me up past 17.

I've heard different things on this topic
I would say that all 4 windows down at over 60mph will definately hurt more than the a/c.

When I first got my H2 I could get 13-14mpg on a long Highway (2hr.) trip without towing/hauling anything. I usually got between 10-12 for daily driving and i just did straight city driving it was a standard 10mpg. Towing I got 9.5mpg.

Than I made a few uhhh.. modifications and now I struggle to get 10mpg no matter what I do. lol. In fact on the way up to Grayling Michigan last month I my average speed was 78mph and I was getting 7.7mpg. lol

Really IMO they do pretty good on gas when left stock. It's when you start adding things that mpg goes night night.

I must be lucky. In Houston area on flat ground I get about 14.1 mpg highway at 65 to 70mph. I can get 15 to almost 16 if I set the cruise control at 60. Overall around town I average 12.9mpg . I have stock tires and no roof rack or brushgaurd or tire carrier. I believe it helps. All of this is hand calculated and not off the onboard trip computer. Another trick I use on trips is to draft an 18 wheeler. I can almost get 18 mpg when I do that. Just a fun little game I play. stay close to them and they almost pull you along.

I got 85000 on my 2003 H2 bone stock 11mpg up hill down hill.and around town. I am going run more air pressure in tires and see if it changes. I leave them at 35lbs because I am always off road.
