Hey guys, I'm looking into a 96' H1, the one I found and like, the owner has told me that it is stuck in High lock, I haven't really been able to find anything online breaking down what causes this or how to fix it....Anyone have any clues?

Stuck in High Lock or will only move in High Lock? If stuck in High Lock it could be as simple as linkage issues or as complicated as needing a T case rebuild.

 

It will move and drive in high lock, but it's also stuck in high lock, and not able to shift out. Is this something worth perusing, or should I consider other options? I've tried to look up pricing for transfer cases' just in case it needs to be replaced, but I'm seeing a bunch of different prices, anywhere between $150.00 to upwards of $4000.00

 

I have a rebuilt transmission with a transfer case that was working just fine before taking it out of my 93 H1 that you can have for the price of a pizza!

I now have a Cummins 6bt with 47rh tranny and np241dhd transfer case

The 93 would have the TH 400 tranny and he would need the 4L80 or 4L80E. Rojolo where are you located?

Since I didn't do the cummins conversion, I will check to see if they kept the original tranny - I'm quite sure they did.

Has to be somebody that could use the 3 speed tranny.

 

Did you ever find the solution to the transfer case? Mine is doing the same thing after an engine rebuild.
