Hi, I recently purchased a 98 hummer that was stolen and had an insurance claim on it which gave the truck a certificate of destruction. The truck is in really good shape and is a very unique hummer and not sure why it got this certificate. From what I'm told, The only way I can get it back on the road is to do a vin swap. I'm looking for another hummer or possibly a Humvee that is wrecked simply for the title. Thanks.

 

I may be way off here but just the sound of a vin swap sounds very illegal to me. I would try to register it in Georgia or maybe Louisiana or Texas. I think you can get a blue title by just bring a picture to the dmv office and tell them "its not destroyed, i fixed it."see look at the picture or trailer the truck there. I believe you can title a wheelbarrow in Georgia with the proper lights and everything, just depends on the person behind the counter. Good luck.
