Default H1 Exterior Marker Light Issues

I am having lighting issues. Any Ideas. My front lights are fine although they are wired as we need daytime running lights where I live. My tail lights are fine. My side and marker lights above the front windsheilds dont work. I replaced the two light fuses in the fuse box under the hood by the washer fluid but there was no change. Is there smomething easy that I am missing or do you think this is a wiring issue?

Most likely a grounding issue. When I got mine from Washington state shipped here to NC, I had some of the same issues. Every single one of them were a corroded or rust ground contact. Even the interior lights that werent working were quikly fixed by cleaning the ground. So I would def. start with that. Use a test light to see if you have power coming into the light(the hot side). If you do then you know that your system is good and it just isnt grounding properly. Oh, and make sure the bulbs are good too. haha dont mean to insult your intelligence but always cover the easiest things first.

So what did you do exactly in relation to the grounds? Is there a main ground contact? The reason I ask this is that all of the clearence lights as well as the side marker lights went out at the same time.

its going to have to be a process of elimination. if they all went out at one time, then there might be a common ground. im not sure of it though. I had to clean the actual parts in the lights themselves to get all of mine working. But like i said, check to see if you are getting power on the hot side first. if not, then you need to back up to the fuse and the actual headlight switch and see where there isnt power is stopping at. I currently have no dash lights and my power is stopping at the headlight switch. so looks like im gonna have to replace the headlight switch. But if you find corroded grounds, just clean them with a dremmel tool or replace the ends and clean the surface. grounding problems are sometimes a HUGE B***H to track down, but yet simple to fix once you find it. good luck man

Default Marker lights

im not sure if you got your lights fixed yet, but i had the exact same problem. there is a fuse block on the drivers side on the inside under the steering wheel. and there is a fuse that controlls your running lights. you might want to check there to start. its either a 5 or 10 amp fuse
