Default h1 driving sideways down road/ window motors

I just bought a 2001 hummer 4 dr, as my friend was following me he mentioned I was driving sideways down the road. So I had him drive and sure enough it wasnt tracking straight. Any ideas? It only has 29k miles and has never been in accident from what I was told and show no history of it either. The front end sounds to be kind of loud and maybe loose when hitting any pot holes or under normally driving conditions. any ideas? Also has anyone had good luck with rebuilt window motors and if so can you forward a link?
Thanks,
Mark

some cars used to do that when the rear end got whacked or the rear suspension got goofy. if one side in back gets shifted you will compensate with the steering. is the steering wheel whacky?
see how the rear tires are spaced in the wheel wells.

Definitely take it somewhere to have the alignment checked. That should give you a better idea of how badly things are out of whack.

The front end could be in perfect alignment so before paying an alignment shop anything id find out how the rear end got bent out of shape! that's what usually causes it.

It doesnt appear to be ever hit is the weird thing. Can any alignment shop look at it?

An alignment check is free at many places. The GMC dealer by my house just has a machine you drive over and it gives a baseline for if your wheels aren't tracking right. It is a good place to start..

Exactly what I was thinking. Measure how centered each rear wheel is in the wheel well and/or measure rear wheel to front on each side and compare. Sounds to me like the rear axle is slightly off for whatever reason.
