Default Ground Loop in H3

I have just completed an install of a new double din DVD head unit - JVCAVX810 - I decided to keep the Monsoon Amp and Sub. I have used the correct PAC interface to maintain the chimes etc.
It all worked - up until I turned the engine on! – then quite disturbing ground loop (interference by way of buzzing with the revs of the motor generally caused by different ground points being used – simplified)..
The only way I could nearly eliminate it was to remove the outer ground wire of the radio aerial and use just the centre antenna wire – a bit dodgy !!!!
Everything is isolated but the noise is still there ?-

An unrelated modification to the car also has shown up a very odd thing … I installed a roof mounted light bar using the bolt point used to secure the front of the plastic gutter moulding. Through a multimeter this was confirmed as a ground point, however the spot lights would not work! – they would only work when an independent ground lead was used from the light bar into the engine bay – very odd ?
So it is with this that I am wondering if there is something amiss with my grounding in the vehicle ? – has anyone experienced this or know why it is so ???????
Help would be appreciated greatly ?

Cheers

Djox - The thump is because they have connected the low level RCA output up to the input of the PAC box.. Take it back and tell them to read the installation guide!! - It must use the high level speaker line out from the new head unit into the cambus module... Your thump will go away and it will be fine ...!! Remind them that you have the Monsoon AMP !

If the otput power of the thump exceeds the power capability of the speakers then yes - Thumps are never a good thing in speakers as they can over extend the voice coil and that can rip or destroy speakers.Best to have it fixed asap...

OzHummer did you ever get this sorted out?

I am having similar issues with my install, Kenwood DDX-7019, PAC interface, and retained Monsoon. Is your noise always there? Mine was noise free for a couple of days before it started and now comes and goes (more comes than goes lately). Also, the noise seems to only come from the drivers side rear speaker but doesn't sound like speaker damage, more like ground noise, crackling and whine that changes with RPM.
