Default grinding noise in rear under hard braking

man am i crazy or has someone ever heard a grinding or kind rumbling noise in the rear as the nose is dipping during hard braking, my trucks got 9k on it and at first i thought maybe the ABS was kicking in because the rear is getting light as the nose drops therefore maybe the loss of traction triggers the ABS?? this wasn't **extreme hard braking**because the front wasn't triggering the ABS, i know what it sounds like ,this was different, anyone??

Default Grinding

The wife's 2008 H3 does the same thing. I have given a cursory exam to the brake rotors, and have seen nothing. Kinda sounds l ike sand between the pads/rotors. Have not taken it back to dealer. 28,000 miles.

Had the same problem. All H3's braking system in the rear grinds divits into the rotor. I had to take it into the Hummer dealership, and they grinded them down even again. They said it happens in ALL H3's and it will happen again eventually.
