hopefully I got lucky, I got mine april 21 and they are still ok.

Anyone know about the jack recall? Is it for all 06's, I still haven't recieved anything regarding a recall but read where others have.

wow, I'm sorry to hear about your truck. My dealership replaced both sides and a car wash in less than an hour, plus they fixed the jack.

I went in and got my second oil change today and asked about the jack and the roof rails. My service manager told me niether apply to my vehicle. I didn't bother to inquire after that, I've learnd that this guy knows his stuff. So, it appears if you don't get the notice from GM, I wouldn't worry about it.
BTW, I got mine on Dec 28, no cracks.

I don't even know if I got a recall mail from GM about the jack or not. I just went in last Saturday to get my roof rails replaced and they also replaced/fixed the jack. You can't really tell the difference but I know it's the new one.

The new roof rails are a lot bettter than the old ones, before I had more than a quarter inch gap but now ...here's a pic..

mine does not look like this it look like the old space i like yours nice and tight
