Good Bye !!
Traded in my h3 for a 2013 Toyota Rav4 ev
this is a special joint production with Tesla. only 2600 cars built over three years. Only sold in California. All drive train and batteries made by Tesla.
SO yea no more fun, no more 4x4 sort of sad.
But.... 600 miles and no gas !!!!! Car will pay for its self with the $$ saved on not buying gas.

Dying to hear future reports on another fantastic E V ,
In no time gas cars will dissapear huh!
Do give us reports on $ per mile starting with initial price ok?
You should tell about the electric bill, charging stations,,,
So far I saw one chevy volt on the road.

I actually do not charge at home at all, I charge for free at my office. Also, where I live there are lots of charging stations around, a lot are free.
the Ride actually cost less then the H3 after rebate, and incentives.
in 10 days i have driven about 700 miles, that equates to a savings of $175
$175 x 52 = $9100 in gas savings
Don't get me wrong, I loved my Hummer, sad to not have it, and still own a gas car. I would never just own an ev, they are very limited. but for a commuter it is actually pretty great.
Also electricity equates to about 3.3 cents per mile. Hummer - 25 cents per mile. Even if i payed for all the electricity myself it would be a 7x savings.

I was on the list for one of the Tesla sedans after spending a few hours at their show room in Fashion Island. Removed myself after production problems, not living up to projections and now the financial situation the company finds itself in. Also their business model of delivering to your house, having service people fly out to your broken vehicle didn't make sense to me. A range of 300 miles didn't do it for me either. That means it would take me 5 days to drive to Texas from CA in it. While in CA there are more charging stations than most other places many are starting to charge for the charge. I have seen more and more with a credit card swipe station. Hopefully you are happy with your purchase. By the way there aren't 10 days in a week so the math on your savings is off by about 50% per year. Just didn't want you spending money you weren't going to save.
Soooo, the cats out of the bag huh, no charge charging!! So thats how it's done. That would be like me going around the walmart lot siphoning gas to fill up my hummer! , hey that gets the cost down.
That kind of comparison is none at all.
I think you will spend plenty when it comes to battery maintenance.
Where I travel in Michigan/INdiana it would kill the batt just defrosting the windows and warming my toes for an hour or two, good luck.

but i live in sunny warm California.
And it has maintenance included......8 yrs , 100,000 on the electric drive train.
if a business wants to allow people to charge for free ( they pick up the tab ) nothing wrong with that. you stealing gas is another story.

That reminds me of my last outing on the golf course.....battery powered cart was dead on arrival at the 11th hole, out walking with NO RIDE..... Not for me, I have no problem paying for the gas, I know my H3 will get me anywhere, I have to go, without DELAY!
GL with your new ride....

Somebody is paying to make ev look good i guess.
If they give free elect, why not free gas.
I doubt that any ev will go 100,000 miles as cheap as a hummer in the long pull, maint will be the killer, I think.
Good luck.
