Going to colorado/ Moab ... this and that
UPDATE ; plans may change again. since enterprise told me a switch for a 4x4 in Denver is likely possible.
Im not comfortable driving a rear drive up to denver but balancing the risks I think I rather that than drive 6k miles in my truck watching gauges every 5 min ...
Would be great to take my orange beast to Moab but like I said before Florida sucks . Im too far from everything
(but the ocean)
Keeping the thread for any comment welcomed
Well an upcoming winter trip to Colorado and Moab turn in a Hummer road trip after the car rental told me they don't have any . Any . ANY 4x4 , even I rented a premium SUV . Much less with winter tires in Florida ( honestly Florida sucks)
I got a few questions For all you lucky people to have a snowy backyard
My tires(duratrack) are M/S with about 50-55 % left . Is that ok?
The truck is in great shape with minor things to be checked this week
Just got new hoses. Fresh antifreeze. Battery is about 1 year old . Belt is 2 yo(got a spared)
All fluids are fresh (6mo)
Anything else?
Also got a jumper/ starter . A 170 pcs tool set . Flares. And just in case a flare gun (from my boat)
Of course cause this is a very very long trip we got lot of food and water . Blankets .
A shovel . Ice scraper. Road signals. Winch.
Chains (need the good and cheap recommendation)
Forgetting anything?
Appreciate Any simple advise how to use the different 4x4 settings for conditions such as snow and ice
Trip schedule is as follow . Miami- Pensacola-Dallas-alamosa,co - steamboat- Moab - amarillo, tx .... back home
If anyone know the areas.
Any advise appreciate
Will post as going
