Default GM's Billy Boat Exhaust Installed

The install went rather easy. To remove the OEM exhaust in one piece, jack the passenger side frame up so the rear differential drops and give you the needed clearance.

The muffler sets high and can not be seen from the rear. That buys some extra ground clearance. The tips are very large and look cool but turn down hill a bit which I don't like.

The sound is deep and mellow. No cackling. It's rather quiet for a BB.
Combined with my tuned PCM and K&N it seems rather spirited in acceleration.

These are on clearance by GM & GMPD, so the supply is limited @ $592http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results...umber=10033001

That's a pretty good price Vader. They are normally around $800 aren't they?

Retail is $1100!!! So $592 is a big bargain. GMPD went to flat rate S&H so it was really cheap!!

Hi Vadar,
Now that you have the Billy Boat system installed for awhile, how do you like it.
Any problems with it?
I have read a couple of threads where they seem to have some problem with this exhaust.
I have an opportunity to get this system for a very good price right now and need to know
how someone really likes or dislikes this system.
I notice this system eliminates the muffler behind the cat and other systems have a high flow
muffler??
Any comments or info from anyone is appreciated!
Thanks,
JoeSki

I love the sound! Very easy install. I had a leak where the two pipes flanges bolt together. I suggest using high temp gasket sealer. Can you still get the $592 price? It was a clearance when I bought mine.
