With several OR trips scheduled in the near future, I've been considering the purchase of some GMRS hand held
radios for communication between vehicles. Does anyone have any preferences or recommendations they
would care to share?

 

Try this,Ibought pair of these,they work very good,I got clear signal inside car on GMRS mode with range about 15 miles.you can use it as VHF marine radio on your boat too,very cool.
