GM side step bars maintenance

Can light scratches on the side step bars be removed or painted over with touch up paint? Are the plastic step pads replaceable?

What exactly is scratched?...The tubes or the plastic step pieces?...Are they Chrome or black?

Actually both...

I have the black (gray) bars. Just wondering if GM makes touch up paint for them. Also, whether the plastic step pads can be replaced after a while if necessary.

They need to make that plastic step piece from the same material as the husky liners or something...I almost busted my *** hoppin up into my ride after the complimentary wash at Sewell yesterday evening.
