I have an H3 and have installed the pal unit except for the wire to xm. Where is the xm unit and do I splice the yellow black xm wire into yellow black wire going into the xm. It came with a butt splice on the end which leads me to believe i disconnect a wire from xm and connect to this wire. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have searched the forum and internet for answer but cant find any.

I have found on corvette site that the xm wire connects the xm unit data pin. the supplied cable takes the data signal for data from radio and the wire running to xm connects the xm data back to radio. The problem is with it not connected the radio does not see the xm unit and the pal unit uses channel xm2. The corvette xm pin configuration is different. If anyone knows the pin out configuration on the xm plug that would be great.

Found information on another site from John317 . The xm wire goes to pin 7 (purple) on my 09 H3.
Connected up and back together, works great. both ipod and xm work, GM PAL unit uses xm2 channel. You can search the ipod by artist, song, genre, playlist. (takes a bit getting used to using the arrows,select button to find category you want)
If I had the info it would have taken about 20 min to install, everything plugs in except for the one wire you have to cut and splice.
