Default GM Body Parts Fitment

Hey all, I need a new driver side front fender flare. When i go to the GM direct parts website and put in my H3s info, which is a 2006 base, the flare cost over $300. Now when i search 2007 H3 base the flare is only $100??? I would assume these parts are interchangeable, or am I off here? The only difference i see between the 2006 and 2007 on the website is the 2006 is only offered in primed and the 2007 has an option for black?

The H3s all have the same fenders.

From past experience, black likely does not mean painted black. I have bought plastic GM parts before, black is the color of the plastic, really more like a dark dark grey plastic, which then needs to be scuffed, primed, sanded, painted, clear coated, and polished. Pretty sure that is why primed is more $.

You should note that your linked page says that it does not guaranty part availability. So.... while the price may look good, if they do not have it, it means nothing. Go old school and CALL them ask questions and go from there.

Let us know what you find out.

On Ebay you can buy parts already finished from a used vehicle then it is just a swap unless that part has paint imperfections, scratches, etc..

Good luck.

As a follow up, i called multiple GM parts sites and they all have access to these $100 fenders, however they all said it takes about 14 days to get from order to your door. Of course, shipping said fender varies from site to site but averages around $120. Still cheaper than the salvage yards in Denver if you can wait the shipping time.
