have been searching for protection for the 10 bolt diff cover that was not an add-on bar thingy that costs as much as a full cover but doesn't protect the full area nor give you more fluid capacity??? I found some Heavy Duty covers but they where expensive like the ARB $$$ or requiredd welding like the Blue Torch Fab (sorry, I can't weld).

Asked about adding and extra bung for fluid filling and if it will it fit an 8.6" ring gear or just the 8.5" as stated?

Well Jim got back with me quickly and low and behold, it is for our 8.6" GM 10 Bolt and they WILL add a bung for fluid fill (just add it in the notes section when ordering)! Jim also said they will be changing the description on thier website. AWESOME cover for just $95+shipping (I chose UPS gorund).

I ordered A.S.A.P! When it arrived it was in a very heavy duty box with the proper amount of fill as to keep the Very Heavy Diff Cover from flopping around.
It is approx. 3 1/8" deep adn has a true 3/8" mounting surface. Bolts and bung plugs included. This thing will not dent. It seems to be much larger so more fluid will be needed (if you are a "to the book" kind of wrencher). I'm going to fill mine until it slowly weeps from the fill bung.





Just waiting for some primer and paint!



Haven't installed it yet so I don't know if the proper bolts we need are included. If not I will source grade 8 or higher bolts and inform Jim @ 999OffRoad.com and let him know the proper thread and length to ship with 2006-2010 HUMMER H3/H3T 10 bolt hevey duty diff covers.

You don't need the drain...there's one in the bottom of the casting.

 

I know that, but it comes with the drain. I had them add the fill bung.
