I have a problem. . . .My glove compartment will not open, I bought it used that way and have never been able to open it. When I did try all I managed to do was break the latch in half. Well after 2 years I have decided I want to see what is in the glove box. . . guess curiousity has got me. How can I open it without causing more damage?

 

On my 2009 there is a hole behind the handle that gives access to the mechanism. You could try poking a small screwdriver in there to see if you can release it.
