Is anyone else missing the metal flap in their gas filler neck. Called dealer, they said it farther down in the tube. Just checking to see if that's true.

 

What purpose does that thing serve anyway? I never looked at it that seriously. Pretty sure mine is right where the pump schnozel goes thru? Welcome to the forums!

This is to inform you that two changes have been made to the 2006 HUMMER H3 fuel tank filler assembly. The ground strap and the fuel filler neck flaper door where the fuel nozzle is inserted have been deleted. The part numbers have not changed and both designs are fully interchangeable.

 

Hmmm.... Not sure, i have to go check!
