trying to run a dvd player to the fuse box......can one of you hummer experts tell me how to do it since the fuse box is near the engine

Why do you want to connect it to a fuse box? Why not run a line to the battery and put an inline fuse? Much simpler to do.

ok how to do that how do i get it to the inside of the car......the directions said run it to a spare line in the fuse box and i looked in the manual and there are some open sections in the fuse box........

Cut a hole through the firewall, that's what I did when I installed my neon lights... Ran them to the headlight fuse for the ultimate toggle switch

Exactly. Don't forget to put a rubber grommet in the firewall (25 cents at the hardware store) to prevent the firewall from cutting your wires. There's no need to use the fuse box but you do need an inline fuse.

For the DVD player, you probably also need to connect to switched power. You can find lots of suggestions for finding one of those wires in the Audio/Video section. Search car stereo install, DVD install, etc.

thanks bro i never messed with the hummer but the pics help out a bunch.....i know you hummer pros would be able to help...i am glad i found this website.......one question what is the stuff you used to seal the hole.......

It's just a rubber grommet from a hardware store.

use the fusebox will make a neater instillation!!! less wire, less connections, less mess and cleaner.

just use one of these at the fusebox
