fuel prices
It's about $4.60 to $4.80 in Chicago area, but about 50 miles outside the city, there are less taxes to pay, so it goes down. You would think in Louisiana prices would be cheaper considering you are by the sea and you have oil rigs off the coast.
Filled up my dads F-450 yesterday and it was at 4.67. That thing eats fuel like its nothing. I went to pensacola in it this weekend mostly highway driving and idleing in bumper to bumper trafic and the average mpg was 9.4, better than what i get in my h2 but then again my h2 doesnt cost as much per gallon.
4.85-4.95 a gallon here in washington state cost 185.00 to fill my H1. I live in a treehugger state as well so I get the thumbs down and shame on you everytime I drive it. People are funny though they think americans are the only ones paying this and me driving my H1 really makes a difference on what they pay for fuel lol! I would buy a hybrid but for 30k I can buy alot of Diesel rather than some deathtrap car!
there's a Shell station with diesel next to my work it was $5.12 last week (July 8), $5.19 yesterday morning and $5.29 as I drove by yesterday afternoon on my way home.
sweet tanking dollar/rising prices!
