Fuel door
#2
-take gas cap off
-take out I believe the 3 screws holding the bucket to the fuel filler neck
-once you get the bucket with the door off then look at the back and there should be a number of small nuts, remove those and the door should come off
I think that's all there is to it. I haven't had mine off in a while but that should be it.

I looked for a while at aftermarket locking doors but the price on those is too ridiculous for me.
This is what I ended up using on mine for a permanent coating:
Still holding up like I just sprayed it. Thinking about doing some other parts with the same spray.

How did you do it? Did you just sprayed it on bare metal? How did you clean rest of chrome remaining?

I just scuffed the hell out of the chrome with a 3M scuff pad. The wrinkle coat you have to do a few very wet coats for it to work. Reading the instructions on the can are a must! I think it looks good, reminds me of the old school valve covers when they were wrinkle coated.

Hi sorry to bother but I loosened the three screws around the filler tube but it only seemed to loosen the filler tube itself the fuel bucket and outer plastic bezel seem solid on th outside of my fuel door all the small hex nuts appear fake with no recess to loosen except one. It can be loosened is the only thing holding the fuel door cover and plastic bezel those three screws?
