at a hundred bucks each... just get some black trim (moulding) screws available at most any auto parts store..The smaller and lower profile the head the more incospicuous.







Or if it's just the retain clip broken (tab on back of reveal secure) you can buy the retaining clips separate.. GM part number 11589262

THe Meguiars shown above works good for a short while, a couple washes or rains. It is a topical treatment that does not bond to the plastic. The type of product you want to use is likely a coating. One of, if not the best coating for black plastics is a product called Black Wow. This will last many months before the coating is worn off, even after many washes and rains. It is a pricey little bugger, but nothing really compares to it. This is a professional detailers secret weapon!

We have talked about it in another thread, but 'Like New.' It's the stuff you see on the infomercial but they sell it at Walmart. Not the cheapest stuff but works great. Lasts months and makes everything look like new. Mine was a REALLY faded grey. Put this stuff on it during the summer last year and it still looks the same. I have tried all kinds of stuff on my sports cars for years and everything just absorbs. If you're lucky, it lasts a week or two and its greasy so you get smudges.

It isn't like the normal greasy armor all stuff. I will never use anything else again.

 

Can anyone tell me where I can find the Window Trim? I have had problem with the tabs breaking off. Thanks

 

I just tried Armorall's new product..OUTLAST..on the trim of my Durango. Nothing has ever lasted on the black rubber pieces on that car..It is better than anything else I have tried. Then I used it on the rubber trim on my 450 SL Mercedes..and it's 35 years old. Amazing how the bumper trim shined up. Next is the H3..

 

Guy's have been using this stuff lately with great results. Do it once, it's paint, it's permanent.

 

Would you happen to know how to remove the trim pieces that drop down behind the cab between the cab and the bed? I want to plasti dip mine as well but that piece on both sides would be a pain to get to for 100% coverage.

 

I usually don't promote the crap you see on TV. But I used the WIPE NEW restorer and I was pleased with the results and the long lasting finish with one application. I'm in Florida with hot sun and continuous rain and it still looks good. worked for me.

 

hello ... GM part number 1158926....has anybody replaced this part.. the clips on the reveal..how to attach to back of the reveal ...glue?.....thanks

 

My pieces where they clip into the roof ones the plastic is cracked where it clips into each other.

Be nice to have them sit nice. For some reason there pretty new looking still but was thinking of plastic dipping them to make em look even better
