sorry to keep an old thread going...

just cleaned a bunch of rust off of the impact bar with Barkeepers Friend and in the process it looks like a took some paint off. Mine has a weld? Anyways, i'm wondering if the thing would be a good candidate for some powdercoating. Or, if anyone knows, a good paint brand to use on the whole thing? Flat black would be my preference. Thanks!

EDIT- for whatever reason, mine appears to have a weld and that seems to be the cause of my rust. Also, didn't realize the thing was just a piece of painted steel. Can I just unbolt it without taking the full bumper cover off?
