Default front hitch mount

Is their anything available like on the H2 for a front hitch mount for the H3's? I like the idea of having that type of winch mount that if need be I can use it on the rear hitch.

I haven't ever come across one like that. I guess it would matter on how you can mount it on the front and still be able to remove it easily enough to use on the rear hitch.

I've seen aftermarket bumpers for the 3with the receiver hitch welded in....

andin all honesty you might even be able to take one from the 2 and get it adapted.

I haven't see anything my self, the only problem I could seewith that setup is you would be taking away from you approach angle, when I built my support forthe winch that was the first thing I looked at, the support is 1" above effecting the approach, have a look a the pic, it's sitting pretty high compared to if you had the front hitch mount.

Nice find SandT. Don't know if I'd want to give up my front skid plate to use that.

Having to get rid of the skid plate is the reason I have not got one yet myself. I have also seen them where the skidplate gets a square cut out of them and it goes through the skid plate.

loosing clearance and the front skid plateis theonlyreason I haven't installed the DrawTite front hitch.

I've been thinking about asking a local shop to fabricate a front hitch with the receiver centered on the cross bar (instead of underneath like the DrawTite hitch). That should put the front receiver about in the middle of where the front plate is mounted. I'd still have to cut a hole, but it would be centered in the front bumper where the plate is now mounted. If I can ever get this project going, I'll post some Pix!
