and I tried drifting...damn near killed myself and have a damaged rim to prove it
you may be too new to know why I bought an import car...but there was a good reason, not that I'm very happy about it.

LOL
Ya just giving you a hard time, never knew ya bought an Import, just joined in November. I would like to hear the story though.
I may even understand, having owned and autocrossed an '83 RX7 back in the day
Autocross is a blast! Just not as much fun as hitting the trails

my avatar is a picture of Bill Belicheat...head coach of the Pats* has nothing to do with the car.
here's a short version of the story...I bought a Dodge Ram 1500 in Deleware...was told the truck was never in an accident, was shown a carfax showing that it was never in an accident. When my second son was born I realized it was too big of a biach to lift a car seat into a truck with 12" of lift so I went to trade it in on a Ford excursion diesel. The salesman at the ford dealer said he could not accept my trade because it had a salvage title. Turns out the dealer photoshopped the salvage stuff out of the carfax that he printed out for me. And in Maryland (had a maryland title) you can go through a pretty easy inspection to get a salvage title cleaned. I wasn't going to drive my kids around in a truck that was salvaged, especially nt knowing the guy that repaired it. SO I went to about 50 deaerships and none would take the truck in on trade. I called a lwyer and I could sue him easily to get my money returned in full...but it would cost me lawyer fees up front and there is no guarentee in Maryland that you will be rewarded lawyer fees...I couldn't afford that gamble. So I continued going from dealer to dealer till I finally found a mitsubishi dealer that was willing to take the truck in on trade and give me what I owed so I wasn't upside down. But I had to buy a mitsubishi. I had no choice really so I bought a brandy new lancer gts and have the same payments that I had with the dodge...it all worked out great in the end, and I'm starting to like the car...not a muscle car like I'm used to but it's a fun car to bang gears in. Here is my lancer

wellll......my buddy owns one of the worlds best show car teams...he's won the nationals and worlds a few times with his personal car...he wants me to show the lancer in his club. Plus I am somewhat sponcered by streetglow so I have a lot of chit to put on. So far I have lowering spring, new rims/tires,HID,intake,exhaust,carbon fiber hood and trunk are coming in the next few weeks. Turbo kit wil be installed after the motor gets pulled and the engine bay gets shaved and smoothed. My trunk is getting completely glassed with an integrated sub box,amp rack, andfive7" screens. I have the forms made and some of the glass work done but I need to wait till spring to finish and paint it. There are a few other projects planned for it but that will be if we have money left after teh engine bay gets shaved and smoothed...that's gonna be a costly job. Once all this is done I may just sell it for alot more than I paid or if it wins shows I may keep it for my sons.
