I half jokingly suggested that Hilljob donate one of his H3 light bars to a forum raffle.... he seems all for it...

Any thoughts on something like this?

 

I don't see a problem with him running a raffle on his own, but I don't think Patrick will want the board to get involved. Personally I wouldn't have a problem with it either way.

 

I didn't know.... my only thoughts were if he is making cash selling stuff here then the Boss should get a taste....

 

but if the lightbar falls off, goes through the windshield causing the driver to lose control and run head on into a bridge...then the boss may get a taste of that also.

what kind of raffle? we have thought about doing this at many of the sites, but there is NO fair way to do it...unless you get everyone to the place where the drawing is held, you have those who will say "how do i know the pick was legit"...ive also heard of organizations holding cash raffles for prizes across more than one organization, and the people who won, didnt exist, and neither did the prize...but the money that people paid in for tickets were real.

 

My first thought waould be to sell something like a Cafepress coffee cup....with a hummerforum logo... that wayeverybody walks away with something.... then just randomly select someone's order number to be the winner....

the random selection... picked by someone from the member pool?
