flowmaster super 40 for 2006 hummer h3 !
hey guys, i got my hummer h3 couple months ago! and love it!!! i want to install a muffler for some nice aggressive sound
but i am totally lost with which kind to get, i know i want the super 40 flowmaster muffler but how do i know which one? i mean there are so many different super 40 flowmaster!! from my understanding h3s have 2 mufflers...do i need to change both or just one?.......if anyone can provide me with a part # that would fit the 2006 h3 3.5! i would really appreciate it!

I think the front one is just a resonator. You could take that $80 and buy gas and cut off the stock muffler and run a pipe with downturn out the passenger side rear. Leave enough so you can replace the stock muff or replace it with a different one if you do not like the result.
About $20 for a shop to cut, shape and install a piece.
Other option, remove both and put an inline muff where the resonator was but I don't think it would sound much different. That would still get that monster off the rear end and give a throaty sound. Either way you would then have the option for an onboard air tank back there.
Save money and weight. I first did this on an 06 I-5.
