The dual tips I put on can easily be removed and the stock muffler reinstalled for warrenty work. As far as the "ricer mods", changing or modifying your intake/exhaust is way older than the ricer movement.Since it doesn't add much in the way of performance or sound, why spend the $500-600 to buy the aftermarket exhuast. All you really get is a little deaper exhaust note and a few ponies. I'm sure what i did gives me a few more HP and the deaper tone with out the high cost. With the tips and pipe it cost around $55 and my time to fab it up and weld. And it is a true working dual outlet.

Is the stock exhaust system SS or mild steel?

Mild. I used generic parts store pipes with ss tips and just used high temp black paint on the rest.

Yeah, Hotrod, post some pics. Load your pics onto www.photobucket.com or whomever you like, then you can upload them here.

Since the piping is mild, welding them should be easy (and it helps that I have a welder). Did you use some kind of flange since you said it could be put back to stock? Or did you just use some clamps? Pipe diameter? Thx!

I work 16 hrs a day on the weekend shift so i haven't got much done. Anyway, no I didn't use a flange. The new exhaust slips over the stock pipe and the stock muffler will have a piace of pipe that slips into the original and I'll use one of those wide SS clamps. I'll see what I can do about the pics.
Oh by the way, a friend from work was behind me last nite and today he said it sounds nice. When it's in gear and i'm moving, it has a nice little roar.
