I'm guessing you are right, it's an attempt to be original ... however, it doesn't change the fact that to me it gives off the appearance of being an after thought!

Can't say I'm all that pleased with the wipers on my H2 either but at least I only have to gripe about two, not three of em :-)

I'm on dial up (I live to far out to get cable) but go to perterson 4 wheel and off road's website. They used an FJ for their ultimate adventure this year. granted it had a lot of aftermarket replacements. But they may have some clear pics. Yes, i noticed too that the rear leg room sucked ballz.
Ahh, the myth of the "dial-up man" finally got tested and proven .. they DO exist LOL! :-)
LOL unfortunatly

I could get a satt set up, but for 500.00 or so they can keep it. [:'(]

I can't blame you, I wouldn't have spend that kind of money either, especially not on Sat! I have to have it for work and as long as they pay for my T-mobile account for hotspots, cell, and high speed, I can't really b*tch too much on the few occations I have to go back to using modems ...

As I was pondering which to get, H3 or FJ, I went on the FJ web forum. THe biggest problem they have is the windshield spider cracks frequently from road rocks. Many many many have had to be replaced by the dealerships not on aftermarkets. Also the thick side pillar creates a GREAT blind spot. As you can see, I did not getr the FJ.

we also considered the fj before purchasing the h3..
the problem with the fj is that no room on second row passenger..blind spots everywhere..and salesguy forgot to mention
that the car only takes premium gas..[:-]

I too looked at a FJ (or, should I say, wasted my time), but seems to be geared to the 'younger' crowd, with its fake diamondplate interior and such. I also looked at the X3 (too small for me), Touareg (its a VW), and F35 (like it, but $$$$$$$$$). I've owned a number of SUVs from every mfgr, and I wanted something different with some style... not just your everyday big box w/ wheels..enter the H3. I also got 5yr/0% loan.
