Default FJ observation

Tonight I come out of the mall with my wife and son and there is a guy getting into an FJ parked next to me. First thing I noticed is that my h3 with 35's TOWERED over his FJ...didn't know how small they were till I saw it next to my hummer. He's a really cool guy and we started to BS about our trucks and started to check out each others rides. First thing I noticed is that there are THREE front windshield wipers!!! I never saw nuttin like it before....really cool design but like he said it sucks to replace them cause they come in pairs and he had to buy two pair just to use 3 blades. Another thing I saw is that the rear seat legroom is well...there isn't any. He said he wanted a hummer but got the FJ because it has better gas mileage, said he is getting near 20 mpg. Asked me what I was getting.......to save hummer's reputation I added a one in front of my actualy mileage and said 18.5mpg Does someone have a pic of the three wiper design so people can see what I am talking about?

I have one on my computer, but it is at my home, and I am at my girlfriend's house on her computer. I believe the wiper on the rear window will use the same size as the 3 on the front, so when you replace the front ones you have one to do the rear as well. If you are really that curious, I can ask my friends who owns one.

no big deal linus, that makes sence about the back bieng the same size...not too bad then. I just thought it was kind of cool looking, struck me as definately "different". have you seen them in action, do they do a better job than the standard two blade system?

I'm on dial up (I live to far out to get cable) but go to perterson 4 wheel and off road's website. They used an FJ for their ultimate adventure this year. granted it had a lot of aftermarket replacements. But they may have some clear pics. Yes, i noticed too that the rear leg room sucked ballz.

I test drove an FJ Cruiser prior to purchasing my H2, and those FJ wipers do work very well; however, overall look (interior/exterior) and non-existent rear legroom were the deciding factors which led me to finalize my decision to go with the Hummer...not forgetting to mention the great deal that I also got on our H2. I guess it was actually a godsend that none of the local Toyota dealers were able to get a silver FJ Cruiser for me as quickly as I had wanted to get one. Well, last Friday I finally did get to see a silver FJ Cruiser 'in person', and sheesh...am I happy that I didn't go that route!

I received a heck of a lot more for about an extra ten grand, and I'm not looking back. [sm=hiya.gif]

I'm in total agreement with you here ... looks more like an after thought to me ... sort of along the lines of "****, the blades won't cover the whole windshield ... Ohh don't worry about it Johnny, we'll just stick another one in the middle ..."
