I like that cover with the "like nothing else"...I can't find a cover with that anywhere and my dealer did not give me a cover [:@]

Yeah, it's a lot tougher than it looks...the first time I did it I had to remove the paint with laquer thinner.....because I screwed it up bad. Don't use the hammered finish paints......they look good on the can, but don't spray good on the covers. Also spray the lettering first. Get a really good coat on them....let them dry for a few days and then use the paint mask (I made the Hummer lettering with paint mask vinyl), to cover the letters over.....then spray the flat black. Yes I said flat black. I first bought satin black, but even if you are really good at spray bombing, you still got the streaking look.....but I'm really fussy!!! The flat black sprays really well and looks really good.
My cover is still slightly messed up, but only if you look really close...maybe from 5" away
Now I need to get rid of the chrome decal on my door and replace it with something else.....!

That looks awesome! Great job!

I wanted a plain look on mine and used the hammer finish. I'm thinking about going to a more flat finish like you did because I want it even more plain and maybe ghost in the Hummer name and H3 logo. The color I used matched the bumper plastic colorreally nicely though.

This was the cover before.

Yeah, just heat it up with a hairdryer and use fishing line behind it. Works like a charm!!

Solar, just FYI. I seem to get more questions about my emblems that you made for me than anything else. I guess nobody around here ever thought of taking the OEM emblems off and replacing them. Even the dealer asked me about it.
