Default First post here gentlemen, looking for some opinions on my possile new/used H3!

Well this is her:

Used 2008 HUMMER H3 for sale in Honolulu HI | Used HUMMER dealer - Oahu, Waipahu & Kauai

I bought an 06 Jeep Wrangler a few days ago and it gave me some problems so I looking at swapping the Jeep in for this H3.

I checked it out and drove it. Inside is super clean, the seat covers alone costed about $600. She drove very smooth, trans shifted smooth, no delay when I go from park to reverse or from park to drive. I put her into 4hi while driving and there didn't seem to be any problems.

What do you guys think? How about the price? Sound pretty reasonable?

Last, are there any common issues that I should look out for before I pick her up? Thanks in advance for your help!

Looks very tidy and clean, you could add $10k to $15k to that price here in Australia.

Hello and Welcome.

Not sure what pricing is like for H3s in HI. Rig looks clean, with low miles. HUMMER worked out most of the bugs by 08.

Make sure the Transfercase shifts back and forth through 4HI, 4HI Lock and 4LO. Check for leaks where the 1/2 shafts go into the front diff. Check under it really well for scrapes and dents to the frame that they may have "covered up" with fresh paint. If so that is a sign that it has been offroad. Not that that is a bad thing just something to look for.

Good Luck!

The underneath of it is clean, as a matter of fact the whole thing is just super clean and well maintained!

So I got them down to 18K, just deciding on wether or not to pull the trigger.

Bought my first H3 about 2 years ago, had it for 3 months before I learned about the alpha package and just had to have it! Lost a little $$$ trading up. I guess my advice is, make sure it's the right one.

Be aware that they are advertising this as a H3X model. It is not. A H3X had many accessories that are missing from this truck.

$18K isn't too bad. See if they will go a little lower since it's not an X.

Anything after 08 is what you want! This one looks super clean! Your gonna love it, the tow package and exhaust are nice and for Hawaii price that is really good!

Look for leaks on the radiator, maybe see if they are willing to pressure test the cooling system..As others said look underneath for any leaks and check on the frame for any signs of rock rash (offroading)..

That price is about normal based on my searches for the last month or so, but keep in mind I am in the northeast not Hawaii..

She looks good I say go for it..
