Default first oil change today

I took my H3 for her first oil change today. Haven't had the truck for 3 week and already have 1200 miles on her. The guys at the garage were very well read about her. They loved her. I spent 45 min. for an oil change because they spent more time checking her out then changing the oil.

I also went on my first road trip this weekend. The more I drive the H3, the more I like to. I am addicted. Anyone know of a good 12 step program for compulsive driving.

Perfect...I did mine at 1000 miles and I'll do it again at 5000 miles and every 5000 after that..I use Castrol Syntec.

As far as the addiction...Betty Ford clinic is our only hope. Even if it is for Ford addicts.

Dennis,
I used Valvoline Dura Blend. Don't know if that is a good thing or bad, but tell me your opion on what to use as far as anti-freeze. I know not to mix the red and the green but at the garage they were telling me they use a yellow(can't remember the name-old age you know) and that it is compatable with the red and keeps it for sludging up.

No, Please only use the Dexcool..It even says it on the fill cap..The engine has certain alloys and I'd be affraid to chance using anything other than what GM recommends..Here is what I use to top it up with. It is already blended 50/50 with distilled water.

Thank you. I wasn't buying what they said at all but there is so much talk about what to do and what not to do it really confuses me. I trust your opinion. Dexcool it is.

Well..Feel free to pose your questions here first..there are quite a few knowledgeable people here to help you and arm you with information before going into a repair visit...One of these folks here is known as "Another Poster"..He is pretty sharp in the care and maintainence of the HUMMER.

So you are in good company..
