Default Finally pics w/305/70-16's

The tires are 305/70-16 BFG AT's, which are virtually the same height as the optional 285/75's that come with the Adventure pkg. I was going to go with aftermarket rims, but it seems as if they are all pretty much the wrong offset so they stick out beyond the side of the truck, which to me means they don't fit (and look lame). I turned the torsion bar nutstwo full turns to get the front up a touch. The tires are no louder than stock, and I had them road-force balanced. Pics below:

I think I will be doing the same size, but the Mickey Thompson MTZ's instead of the BFGs. The size is just right IMHO. Sweet look, nice truck.

Thanks for the pics, I was wondering how close the size is compared to the Duelers.

Truck looks great. Do you know what gear ratio you have? The adventure package comes with 4.56's.

Nice looking tires and size. I just put the stock size M/T MTZ on the H3 in my sig and so far like them but they make a little more noise than the bridgestones. Are the BFG's quiet or some extra hum? Steve

I was surprised to find that I don't notice ANY increase in noise compared to the stock Wranglers. I bought the tires online from Discount Tire via Ebay. I was able to use a 10% off coupon I got through Ebay somehow, so the set of 4 ran me less than $800 SHIPPED. I bought the spare from them too, $220 shipped (no coupon). I could barely fit all five in the truck to get them mounted. Next thing I do will probably be a body-color grill...

Regarding posting pics with my plates, I appreciate the heads-up, but last I checked, every single person who goes by my house or sees me on the road can see my plates, too![] That means potentially thousands over the course of a year, so the 20 people who frequent this forum are the least of my worries.

Lucky,
Blocking your license plates never made any sense to me. Hell you drive around in public all day and anyone can see your tags.
Drive to the mall and get thousands of License plate numbers. Those of us with vanity plates proudly show them.
