I'm curious what switch you use on the interior to turn the lights on/off also have you noticed any kind of drag or noise coming from that light bar?

Also did you do the grille lights yourself? If so how long did it take? I'm seriously debating on adding them but don't want to waste my time if they are of low quality... and it will be hard to part with the chrome piece I have on the lower grille, I really like the way it looks.

I know I have a ton of questions, Thanks

Very nice.

1. Any chance you could post some close up pics of the mounting points?

2. Is that the only position the bar can be mounted in?

3. Do you know if they have roof cross bars that match?

Again....Looks very nice....

Does the light bar come with covers for the lights? In VA it's against the law to have lights above the headlights without covers on them....stupids laws

The grill lights were installed at the dealer. They did come with pretty explicit instructions, but like you, I just don't have the time to do it properly. The switch is OEM and goes in the spot below the climate control *****. I am very happywith their brightness and they seem to be relatively well built.

The light bar has asimilar switch and I plan to put it (per the instructions) in the other switch spot below the climate control *****. Looks similar to OEM switches.

As far as noise from the light bar - I have BFG 315 MT tires and I really don't hear very much aside from them. My mileage hasn't droped since adding the light bar, so I don't think there is much drag.

Hope that helps. If I had to do it again, I would do the same thing.

Thanks for the input, When the dealer finally calls me back to tell me the new roof rails are in (I was lucky enough to have both rails cracked) I may have them throw those lights in too (as long as they don't scratch my truck up again)

I'll try to take some pics of the mounting points and post them tomorrow.

If you mean can they be mounted farther back - probably. They essentially screw (with rivnuts) into the plastic roof rails, so you should be able to move them back further. If you mean can you rotate the lights up or down - yes, the mounts have set screws to allow for up/down adjustment of the light focus.

Don't know if G-style has cross bars to match, good idea though. I'll have to check.

As far as light covers - they didn't come with any (that i saw in the box - but I have to look again).
Thanks,
Paul

Thanks for the clarifications.

I had been very curious as to how these guys were mounted and if their
location was limited to the very front of the vehicle. I thought they
might incorporate that exterior bolt located above the drivers and
passengers head. I guess using those infamous rivnuts, you can put
the thing pretty much wherever you please…Good to know.

I have seen matching x-bars in some ads, but have never seen them listed.
That would be a sweet touch having everything up top match.

Looks like a great option for those of us with vertically limited garage entrances.

At any, good job. They look great.

Regards,

ML
