WTF does this have to do with HUMMERS or mud? absolutely nothing. sorry if you were hoping to see a mustang ripping through the woods (as funny as that may be)

This is kinda 2 weeks ago's news, but I know that there are a couple people with mustangs on this board so I figured I'd try to show you something that will make you smile!

Well, a couple of months ago a company in eastern PA bought a Shelby GT500... since then they've shaved about 2 seconds off of its mid 12 second 1/4 mile time. right now, the best the car has run is 10.46 @ 132.83 mph
The car has alot of things in it, but the major power mods are pretty basic in relation to what alot of people have done to their 03/04 Cobras. Tune/pulley/catless midpipe/catback/intake/small port job on the supercharger/4.10 gears, but nothing really radical in any sense of the word power wise (suspension set up is very good from what I understand however). The car put down 419rwhp 410rwtq with 50 miles on the car on 91 octane in 95* heat stock. now it puts down 625rwhp and 672rwtq after the mods listed above.

pretty wild when you think about it. A mustang with a couple thousand dollars into "go fast" parts can out run the vast majority of exotics in a straight line.

also, this weekend, they are upping the boost again, this time from 14psi to 17-18psi... they have their sights set on 9's with the oem supercharger [sm=happybounce.gif]

That was awesome. Chris was that you??? I tried to get a Cobra. There is an SVT dealer in Bridgeville. Wolts and Winn, but I was something like 42 on the list. Oh well.

 

well hopefully the price of these will come back down to sticker and they start collecting on dealer lots once some snow hits the ground & people arn't willing to buy a car that has a snowballs chance in hell of surviving a snowy day drive. if it makes you feel any better I'm #2 on Sun Ford's list, but they probably won't be able to get the allocation until the 08 model (they were originally planning on getting a second 07 based off us their mustang share of america, but apparently that didn't work out so well for them... or me). If I see anything pop up in the pgh area I'll let you know. I'm back and forth on colors so much it makes my head spin with this car too. Initially I submitted an order for a tungsten grey w/ satin silver stripes, but I'm not so sure about that right now. I saw a black with tungsten stripes (like this video) in Cleveland for 22k over sticker, and that looked really really nice. for some reason though I'm becoming partial to blue w/ white stripes [:@]

 

Yeah, It's really hard to pay that much over sticker, so I 'm kinda glad that I didn't have the chance to make a choice. LOL!! Hey man when are you going to be back home? Chris, Blackstangs, and I are planning to do some off roading.

 

right now its looking like Thanksgiving, but hopefully I can get ahead on some of my work & free things up before then, because thanksgiving is a long ways away for somebody with an attention span as short as mine..
