Hey all,

I tried checking other posts for wind noise, but didn't seem to apply. My 05 SUT has LOUD !!wind noise as soon as you start driving, from 20 mph on. Can hardly talk on the phone, it is so loud. Sounds like it is coming from the top of the windshield. Removed the wind deflector, no help. Windshield seals seem good, I also heard it may be coming from top perimeter lights. If so, what is fix ??
It is very loud, please come forward with any and all suggestions !!!

I have an 05 SUT and I have not had a problem with wind noise. I have the wind deflector as well, and inside my truck it's pretty quiet. I'm not sure why you'd have the problem.

 

There was a service bulletin on that in 03. They were re-installing windshields for awhile. Thought they had the problem fixed by 05 though.

 

When im going like 90 mine starts getting loud but thats because of the radio antenna. Could be your antenna?

 

the plastic covers on each side on my windsheild tap against my glass causing a loud rattle. I did a quick fix with black tape but i think im gonna gorilla glue them.

 

I had the same problem on my 03 H2. I removed the outer A pillar plastic and sealed the seam between the windshield and plastic with RTV silicone. Problem Solved.

 

I never had a problem untill I broke my 3rd/4th windshield I hear all this wind now, the auto glass repair company said it could be the seal or maybe a plastic side peice not installed correctly so they are coming back on friday to take it apart and re-install. I will be recording on video and posting it if anyone wants to watch.

 

I talked to a guy @ a window place, and he mentioned that he had seen problems with the A-pillars. That really sounds like it might help. Ever heard of problems from the lights on top??
