EXTRA BATTERY
Has anyone added a second battery to their hummer h2. If so where and how much did it set you back!!
I figure alittle winching in the dark and one battery will be a little weak!![X(] even if the engine is running!!! any good ideas.
Trying to get set up to go in the Maine woods!!!

RE: EXTRA BATTERY
Two red top Ultima batteries will fit (snugly) in the location of the original battery.
Take out the battery tray and use a dremmel to take the edge of the tray off so that the tray is no just a flat pan. Put the first battery in lengthwise so that the negative terminal on top is towards the front of the truck and so that it fits tight against the fender. Put the next battery in next to it in exactly the same fashion. Hook original battery cables to the side posts of the battery that is closest to the engine. The negative cable should fit but you may need to take the cover off of the fuse box to get the positive cable to reach. Once they are hooked up, use about 6 inch cables to connect the top posts of the batteries in PARALLEL! Hook the positive to the positive and the negative to the negative. The two cables will be parallel to each other.
The two batteries fit in there so well that I didn't even need any way to hold them down. They wedge in there perfectly!!
Good Luck
