I just received an Extang Trifecta cover, but the clamps will not pull down far enough to attach to the tie down rails. Does anyone have one of these installed? If so, how did you install it? Supposed to be the easiest covers, but I wonder if that is true for the H3T. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will be calling Extang on Monday to see what they say. I would rather get real life feed back though.

 

I don't have an experience with covers just yet.. but once you figure it out, I would love to see pics.

 

Hmm, mine wasn't that hard to put on.
The only issue I had was with the two connect points that were closet to the cab. The clamps went on very easy, but the pull downs were way to far away to reach. I had to unscrew the screw holding the pull downs in place and slide them in the tonneau rail until they were at a 90 degree angle to the brackets. Once in the right place, they pulled down and attached to the bracket just fine. Then reinstall the screw, so it hold the latches in the right position.

 

Yes, that I have done. The problem is the front clamps are not long enough to go from the cover to the top rail. Also the other spring loaded clamps will not extend long enough to reach the top rail. So, did you attach to the factory tie down rails? Need to know so whem I talk to Extang on Monday I have some knowledge of a successful install. Pictures of the clampsattached would be great also.
