Hello everyone... I know this was discussed in early march (Im new and have been reading all the old posts) but has there been any final thoughts on an upgraded exhaust system? The discussion was between the Predator 4", Duck 3.5 and the Adventure 4" systems. ThePredator seems to be the cheapest at $899, but does not come with the catalytic converter replacement pipe (additional $299). Is that "off road" replacement pipe needed, necessary and street legal? Im looking to get a nice "growl" for my 97 wagon.

removing the cat on any vehicle is illegal in 50 US States. If you do remove it, you get a lot of the turbo whine which most people think sounds very good. The exhaust upgrade will improve power, but not really noticably from what I have driven. I have the exhaust upgrade on my truck WITH the cat and its louder, but not obnoxious. You really aren't bothered by the noise unless you are right next to the tail pipe. But it makes working on things under the truck a lot easier, much more open.....

you can hear the turbo whistle, but its not nearly as loud as the other trucks without the CAT. I think its good enough for me but you may or maynot prefer more of the whistle...
