Exhaust systems
Hey thorg113,
Well, both manufacturers make some really cool good-quality exhaust systems, everything just depends on the model. Let me know the model year of your Hummer, so I could check on the best exhaust system for it.

It's a 06 h3 base model with the 3.5
I've seen and heard a lot if H3 exhaust and I like the Borla 140166 stainless H3 cat back system.
I think it's the Best sounding, best looking and has the best craftsmanship.
You can pick it up for around $800 shipped. It will last forever.
Check it out before you decide.

I have a MagnaFlow on my 07 since before Memorial weekend 2007, lots of MI winters since, no problems.
I have had Borlas before, IMHO they use too much chromium in their stainless and crack from being too brittle. The last truck I had with a Borla CAT back had to be welded at 3 different places because of cracks, until the Muffler inlet broke off at the front face of the muffler. They did honor their lifetime warranty and send me a brand new tail section no charge. If you can weld, or do not mind aggravation, Borlas are good stuff. By now they might have wised up on the stainless composition?
Borlas do sound good, but I like my MagnaFlow set on the H3. Some people claim too much drone, not me, just the way I like it.
Gibson can save you a few bucks, but I am not sure about how they sound.

My '08 Alpha has a "Wicked Flow" system? The two pipes come together right about at the back of the front passenger seat, go through a sausage shaped unit (about 4-5" diameter, 16" long...a 3rd cat? or?), then immediately into a conventionally shaped muffler (that says "Wicked Flow"). The muffler has 2 outlets; 2 separate pipes from there all the way to the back; 2 chrome oval tips. No muffler at the rear of the vehicle.
I know nothing about the system, good/bad or indifferent, but it does sound nice.
