Have an 08 Alpha. Want to put on a beefier exhaust system. Any Suggestions for the V8? I looked at Gibson,Borla and Flowmasters. Eventually want to put a cold air intake system on it too. Is K&N the best for that? Thanks so much!

 

Here is my saga. I installed a Magnaflow Catback on my 2010 Alpha. It still did not have the sound I wanted. It was just slightly louder than stock. I then removed the resonator. It was better but not what I was looking for. I finally replaced the Magnaflow muffler with one that goes on a later model Camero and got the sound I was looking for. You may be happy with it the way it comes but I was looking for a little louder and a little deeper sound. Magnaflow is a great product and I also had them on my 06 and 08 I'5's. A local muffler shop did the work. I know this raises more questions than it answers. Good luck.

GM performance exhaust and no resonator, I like the sound and no drone in the cabin. I am not sure which company makes the GM performance exhaust it is either corsa or billy boat. But it has a nice rumble.

K&N does not even make an intake for the Alpha. Volant quit theirs a while back as well, but somebody might have one in stock.

Only one place still making then for the LH8 355s and 345s.

 

Give Solo Performance a call, they can likely do something custom. They're the current best IMO. You can also do headers and high flow cats too if you want to go really crazy.
