Excessive oil use help!
I have a 2006 hummer and it uses about a quart every 500 miles, it does not leak and it does not smoke. I have taken it to several places and they can't find ANYTHING, It runs great but uses oil like crazy, Does anyone have any suggestions? I want to keep the truck because I have a new transmission in it, Does anyone have any Contacts to get a Reman engine ? Thanks

I have a similar issue. My 2006 5 cylinder H3 with about 155k miles is using a quart of oil every 1000-1200 miles. No oil leaks and i don't see any black smoke coming from the exhaust. I bought this truck with 32k miles on it so I've had it a while and the excessive oil usage has been a progressive thing that I first noticed at about 110k miles. At that time it was using about one quart every 2,500 miles and it has slowly started going through more. Why is it using so much oil? Possible solutions?

Same oil issue
I recently bought a used 06 H3 with 116000. Great truck but shortly after buying it I discovered that it is using oil like crazy. No leaks or smoke, just disappears. Have tried to find issue, but short of replacing the motor I'm not sure what to do. Using Casteroil 5W/30. No other issues so far. Thanks for any help

Oil must be going somewhere . I have 170.000 miles on my 06 . no oil consumption between ( 5000 miles ) changes . 5/40 full synthetic . Check the oil breather at the rear of the engine , this could be rotten or not correctly in place .
