So my engine light turned on, Onstar said its something with the transmission...any ideas?? It's. 2009 83k. I hope it's nothing major. :-/ I wonder if it just needs the oil of transmission be changed?!?

 

Hi it may not be relevant to you but the engine check light on my H2 is on and i don't have onestar support , i search google for likely causes and found quite a number of people who claimed changing the fuel filler cap solved the problem . I think the diagnostic in these cases though related to emissions .

 

Did you pull the code? If so what was it?

 

Yes they did and it was a problem with transmission. They did a diagnostic and found that fluid was low and dirty. So they did a flush changed the filter and as of now only a few miles the engine light has not come back on. Hope that was it. The mechanic said it was it! He recommended a tune up, hummer recommends it at 100k. I'm at 83k. What do you all think?
