On occasion when driving my H3T I will hear a moderate, short electronic beep, or tone.

On a recent 300 mile trip I would hear the sound roughly every twenty minutes. When daily driving I may hear it one day and then not hear it again for another two or three.

The sound is short enough that there's no way for me to determine where it's coming from other than it seems to emanate from the front passenger side. There are no noticeable changes in any display (radio, compass) when the sounds happens and no changes in driving, steering, braking, etc.

Do any of you guys have this mystery beep? Have any of you solved the mystery of the beep?

 

is your seat belt on? check the cluster and see if the red light telling you to buckle up is on, if not look by the 4x4 buttons and see if the pass light is on, maybe you had something heavy enough to set off the sensor in the seat, or maybe a fault.

 

sounds like the computer is trying to tell you something. one computer is located where you described it. take it to an advanced auto or autozone and run a diagnostic check just to see if any codes pop up

 

Could be tire pressure, your SEATBELT, an open door, etc.

 

This may be way off base, however if you have navigation the system makes some sounds like short irregular beeps when the navigation disk is being accessed.
